Don Carlos, Bukidnon

The first Canossian community in Mindanao was established in Don Carlos, Bukidnon in 1979.  The Canossian sisters were invited to  the Diocese of Malaybalay by Bishop Francisco Claver to help in the administration of Loyola High School in Don Carlos.  Later, they were also involved in Parochial work.  When Loyola High School had developed its own capable faculty members and staff, the Sisters entrusted their administrative functions to them. Presently, a sister still serves the school as a Counselor  while the other sisters dedicate more time in the evangelization ministry to the poor through catechesis in public schools,  assisting in the formation of catechists by giving talks and facilitating recollections and team building activities  to various groups. They also have Sta. Infanzia scholarship program to children from poor families they encounter during home visitation.  Every week, they gather these children and their parents for formation and tutoring.
